The Greatest

“I don’t think limits,” said Usain Bolt. The quote describes admirably Muhammad Ali and Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr.  The latter was a gift; however, the “magic” had belonged to Muhammad Ali- The Greatest.

Ali’s fortitude, dominant personality, lion’s courage, merriment and resolute are instrumental in his magical journey.  Because of his human transcendence outside of the boxing ring, Ali was mesmerizing.  The title of the blog is modeled after his 1975 Autobiography: MUHAMMAD ALI: THE GREATEST MY OWN STORY, which was written in collaboration with Toni Morrison and Richard Durham.  When did the magnificence of Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr., end and the beginning amelioration of Muhammad Ali? The Vietnam War, a divisive lengthy war, soiled in Cold War remnants and the Domino Theory.  Ali’s  religious objection as a Muslim to the Vietnam war was the  transformative moment in history and diabolic and heroic simultaneously, bestowing Ali with supernatural powers. The afterwards are littered with unimaginable limitations that were devoured by Muhammad Ali.  On June 03, 2016, Muhammad Ali succumbed to a Parkinson’s related illness. Of Ali’s 10 best quotes identified by ESPN Senior Writer, Darren Rovell in 2016, number eight (8) is the most conciliatory quote in support of the inauguration of Joseph R. Biden, the 46th President of the United States.    “I wish people would love everybody else the way they love me. It would be a better world,” quoted Muhammad Ali.
